What Serany thinks about this poem

Meaning

A city at walking pace: a woman in her twenties who will live until she dies, every man on every phone, ice cream down a cone, forty million people all falling apart and all perfectly clear. Nobody has survived it yet, he says, it just has not happened to them. It ends glad simply to have been here and to have been himself.

Who's it for

Someone who loved a city and loved being one of its millions. Right for a family who want the ordinary streets he walked in the reading.
