What Serany thinks about this poem

Meaning

A nurse says are you winning to another nurse in a corridor, in among machines and tubes and a child-sized bed, and it becomes the whole poem. She fights death with a straight face, comes back the next morning in a washed uniform for a new set of names, and asks a woman how she takes her tea as though it mattered.

Who's it for

A nurse, a carer, or anybody who worked in the room where people die. Right for a service full of colleagues who did the same job.

Are you planning a funeral?

A Serany website keeps the whole funeral in one place: the plans and the details, who is coming, flowers and donations, and somewhere for everyone who knew them to leave a memory.
