Every website you have already published stays online, and family and friends can still add memories to it. What stops is creating new ones and changing the ones you already have. We do not take a Farewell Site down over a billing problem, and you can cancel whenever you like.

You can hide it or delete it yourself from your dashboard, and you can close the page to new posts entirely. Every memory, and every name that goes on the attending list, is checked automatically before it appears, so most of this never reaches the page in the first place. Moderation keeps working even if your plan has lapsed: a page collecting something upsetting needs a switch that turns off, whatever your billing is doing.

Usually, once you publish it. A Farewell Site can be listed in search results, which is often how somebody who heard about the death but was never sent the link finds their way to it, and to you. Search engines decide for themselves what to show, so nobody can promise a listing. If a family would rather the page stayed out of search and off your own notices page, one switch makes it private and the link is then the only way in. You also choose which parts of the day appear at all, so a private committal can be left off a page that shows the service and the wake.

None of it. Donations are collected by JustGiving and go straight to the charity, so the money never passes through Serany at all. That is the whole reason we charge you a subscription instead: a platform that costs the funeral home nothing is being paid for out of the donations somewhere. The only deduction is JustGiving's own card and Gift Aid handling, which is theirs and not ours.

Creating the website and publishing it is the work. You enter the details you already have, add a photograph, and publish. There is no template to choose, nothing to configure for each funeral, and the shareable card families pass around is made for you from what is already on the page.

Nothing stops. Standard and Plus include Farewell Websites each month, and once you pass what your plan includes each further one is £12, added to your next invoice. On Pay as you go every one is £12 and there is nothing to pass. There is nothing to upgrade and nothing to decide while you are arranging a funeral, and no family's page ever waits on a billing question.

Yes, on every plan including the cheapest. You point something like farewells.yourfirm.co.uk at us by adding a single DNS record, which is one small job for whoever looks after your website. Your serany.app address carries on working alongside it, so nothing you have already shared can break.

Once, at the bottom. Under a dividing line, after your own name and contact details, the footer reads "Site powered by" with our logo on the line beneath. That is the only place either appears. Everything above that line is yours alone: no banner, no menu, nothing of ours anywhere a family meets before your own name, which is the difference that matters when they open the link.
