Who they are
Lucas Jones is an actor and a poet. He grew up in Huntingdon in a pentecostal family, moved house seven times before he was fourteen, and lives in London now. He started putting poems on the internet in 2023 and more than a million people follow him.
Why we'd read them at a funeral
He writes about death the way people talk about it when nobody is being careful. In the introduction to his 2026 book, listing what got him read at all, he counts somebody who saved one of his poems when their friend died.
