What Serany thinks about this poem

Meaning

The air in your mouth, the people who stayed, you not having given up under the weight of it. He admits nobody knows what to say when somebody they love is hurt, and settles on just not making things worse as the game. It ends on what you have between now and the end: some friends, an apple, a dog and a pen.

Who's it for

A family being told what they still have, on the way out. Right for a closing reading where the room needs sending home rather than consoling.

Are you planning a funeral?

A Serany website keeps the whole funeral in one place: the plans and the details, who is coming, flowers and donations, and somewhere for everyone who knew them to leave a memory.
