What Serany thinks about this poem

Meaning

A thank-you to the women who turned up at somebody's worst times and straightened her crown without mentioning it. It ends wondering whether they ever knew what they were.

Who's it for

A woman who held other people up and never counted it. Its closing wish, that she knew, is the thing a funeral can finally answer.

Are you planning a funeral?

A Serany website keeps the whole funeral in one place: the plans and the details, who is coming, flowers and donations, and somewhere for everyone who knew them to leave a memory.
