What Serany thinks about this poem

Meaning

A whole ordinary day of missing somebody, listed hour by hour, none of it visible to anyone else. It ends by saying the quiet was the loudest part.

Who's it for

Someone whose grief nobody has noticed, because they have kept going to work and kept getting dressed. It says the invisible version counts.

Rock Me to Sleep

This poem is for a mother whose children still feel like children when they think of her. Someone whose particular comfort nobody else was ever able to copy.

Are you planning a funeral?

A Serany website keeps the whole funeral in one place: the plans and the details, who is coming, flowers and donations, and somewhere for everyone who knew them to leave a memory.
