What Serany thinks about this poem
Meaning
It spends an imaginary last day doing almost nothing: listening to the voice, learning the face, holding the hand. Then it admits what the day is really for, which is hoping they would not have to leave again.
Who's it for
Anyone who did not get to say goodbye properly. It stays with one ordinary day rather than a whole life, which is what makes it land.

Are you planning a funeral?
A Serany website keeps the whole funeral in one place: the plans and the details, who is coming, flowers and donations, and somewhere for everyone who knew them to leave a memory.
