What Serany thinks about this poem

Meaning

The person who died is speaking, and asking not to be tiptoed around. Say my name, play the old videos, eat the food I loved. The memories will hurt first, then turn from a wound into proof that I was here.

Who's it for

A family who have stopped saying the name out loud in case it upsets each other. It gives them permission from the one person who could.

Are you planning a funeral?

A Serany website keeps the whole funeral in one place: the plans and the details, who is coming, flowers and donations, and somewhere for everyone who knew them to leave a memory.
