What Serany thinks about this poem
Meaning
A life as a quilt everybody weaves a square of, and some of those squares were stitched by people who are no longer here. The person who died is one of the squares you are made from.
Who's it for
A family wanting to say what the person actually left behind in them. It names the dead as part of the living rather than apart from them.
Becky Hemsley

Are you planning a funeral?
A Serany website keeps the whole funeral in one place: the plans and the details, who is coming, flowers and donations, and somewhere for everyone who knew them to leave a memory.
