What Serany thinks about this poem

Meaning

A couple said goodnight the same way for years, and then one morning there was only an ache. The speaker walks out alone and starts finding them in the wind, the birds and the feathers on the ground.

Who's it for

A husband or wife of very many years. It is for the one left doing the nightly routine alone, which is where this kind of grief actually bites.

Are you planning a funeral?

A Serany website keeps the whole funeral in one place: the plans and the details, who is coming, flowers and donations, and somewhere for everyone who knew them to leave a memory.
