What Serany thinks about Christina Rossetti

Who they are

Christina Rossetti grew up in a London house full of painters and poets, and her brother Dante Gabriel drew her more than once. She wrote most of her best-known work before she was twenty-five, and died in 1894.

Why we'd read them at a funeral

She wrote about dying at eighteen and nineteen and got it right, which is why English families have been reading her at funerals for over a century. She lets the living off the hook: forget me if you need to, and smile.

Our favourite of theirs

Remember

Are you planning a funeral?

A Serany website keeps the whole funeral in one place: the plans and the details, who is coming, flowers and donations, and somewhere for everyone who knew them to leave a memory.
